The following web sites, listed alphabetically, will take you outside of the World Bank. They will link you to more information about international development or help you reach other schools or groups interested in doing collaborative projects. Most of the sites offer material for both students and teachers.

 Canada�s SchoolNet
Canada's SchoolNet offers interactive educational resources for K-12 content area teachers, special needs educators, volunteer workers, school administrators, and parents.

 Classroom Connect
Classroom Connect is a good place to go if you are interested in on-line educational materials, collaborative project opportunities, or current information about educational technology conferences. Their "Search" section gives tips on how to search the internet and describes many of the search tools available.

 Global Schoolnet�s Internet Project Registry
Showcase your community, find out how to earn graduate extension credit, take part in an ocean challenge, link into the well-connected educator, partake in a variety of on-line collaborative projects and much more. There is something for students of all ages on this site.

 GLOBE Program
Access the Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) web page to find environmental data that students, teachers, and scientists from all over the world have collected and analyzed. The Scientists' Corner allows students and teachers to communicate directly with environmental experts from universities and scientific institutions. Learn how your school can become a GLOBE school.

 I*EARN
I*EARN is an international network for primary and secondary school educators and youth leaders who are interested in collaborative projects in social studies, science, environment, math, arts, literature, and interdisciplinary areas. Visit I*EARN's Resource Room and find the latest information about current and future project opportunities.

 IISDnet (International Institute for Sustainable Development)
IISDnet offers everything from a place for readers to learn about the history of sustainable development to a tool kit for high school or university students who are interested in making their campuses more sustainable.

 U.S. Peace Corps: Global TeachNet
Visit the Global Teachnet web page to find out about Global Education conferences and workshops. You can view Global TeachNet's bi-monthly newsletter, quarterly magazine, list serves and links to other announcements about Global Education.

 U.S. Peace Corps: World Wise Schools
Through World Wise Schools, 3-12 grade students in the United States can correspond with a Peace Corps Volunteer. Access lesson plans and teacher guides, and see examples of interviews and letters from volunteers.

 Peace Child International
If you are looking to find materials to teach children about Agenda 21, a plan for the 21st century, check out Peace Child International: A Children's Edition of Agenda 21. You will find this book--written and illustrated by children--on-line here, as well as information about Peace Child International, sustainable development education resources, and project ideas.

 UN CyberSchoolBus
Join in an on-line chat with a UN Ambassador, find out about upcoming UN events, order classroom materials, check out the on-line data for UN member countries, or take a virtual tour of the UN and its agencies.

 UNICEF, Canada
This site has interactive areas for kids in the Kids Only Room--take the Progress of Nations Quiz or check out the Window on Burundi. In addition, you can learn about the work of UNICEF Canada, find out ways you can help UNICEF, and order resources about topics ranging from Children in War to Women in Development.

 UNICEF, Voices of Youth
This web site offers The Meeting Place, The Learning Place, and The Teachers' Place. Each section offers students and teachers opportunities to access information, to speak their minds, and to share what they are thinking with other students and teachers. Current on-line discussions are on Girl's Education and AIDS.

 World Eagle
World Eagle offers a monthly teacher/student resource that helps students to understand and analyze information, especially data, charts and graphs. Access curriculum materials to see examples of materials you can order to enhance your curriculum.

 World Resources Institute
The World Resources Institute web site covers many topics ranging from Environmental Education to Biodiversity to Business and Technology. An active site with frequent new postings, WRI is helpful to students and teachers studying sustainable development issues.
