Taxonomic descriptions: Semifrutex 15 cm tall with short horizontal stems with floscules on the top. Rising shoots are fruitless. Shoots with flowers have long protruding hairs. Leaves are petiolar, elliptical and oblong. Floscule is oblong. Corolla is rose-purple.

Distribution:
Habitat type, Critical habitats, Limiting factors: Psammophyte. Endemic. Obligatory element of littoral strip. Sea of Azov coast of Crimea.
Biology: Flowering during VI-VIII, fruit-bearing - VIII-IX. Reproduction by seeds and creeping shoots.
Population trends: Local population up to 50 specimens.
Threats: Excessive amount of pastures, recreational loading, stenotopic character.
Conservation measures taken: The species has been entered in the Red Data Book of Ukraine (1996).
Conservation measures proposed: Control of populations , widening of Arabat Reserve territories of state importance, cultivation in botanical gardens.
