SCHIPHOL:

 

Schiphol is the fourth biggest airport, after London,

Paris, Frankfurt.

 

HISTORY:

- Schiphol got his name in 1447

-Schiphol was on a peace of land, lowland, it was used to get wood of it

-“ schip “ it’s from the gotic word “scip”,it means wood

- In 1920 it became an international airport with KLM-flights

-it was used as an militaire airport during the first World War

-after the war ,Schiphol developed it self very quick,needed more space

-in 1960 the built the update Schipholcenter,the building was finished after 6 years.

-since the reopen, the old Schiphol is called Schiphol East

Number of passengers: 56 Mio in one year

Number of flights       : 1100 every day

 

 

 

At the airport , you can find different sorts of companies,

 Like Nippon Express or Aero Ground C.

 

The airport has two towers , an old and hughe new tower.6 runaways about 4km length
