The Sustainable Development Post

The Sustainable Development Post is an interactive forum for thoughts and comments about issues of sustainable development. The principle feature of this "on-line newspaper" is The Student Beat, an on-going collection of student thoughts from around the world about sustainable development. Additional features we plan to add over time include quotes, graphics (photos, cartoons, drawings, etc.) and other articles pertaining to sustainable development.

The SD Student Beat

Be a Sustainable Development Post reporter!

Sustainable development can mean something different to each of us. Now is your chance to tell us what it means to you. What does it mean to live in a "sustainable world"? What is or is not working? Do you have experiences of your own or based on those from other people, communities, schools, organizations, businesses, etc. about what it means to help build a sustainable world? E-mail us your contribution either as an individual, group or as part of a class project for inclusion as "headline articles" in future Sustainable Development Posts.

Submission Guidelines

Please submit your "headline articles" to us (please no more than 250-500 words) by e-mail. We will not be able to display everything we receive and we may significantly edit the material, but we will acknowledge each author we publish and would be pleased to include an accompanying graphic or two (including a picture of the authors) which accompany the "headline article".

We prefer that all text contributions be sent in as e-mail, or attached as Word or ASCII Text files. If possible, send your graphics to us in as small a file size as possible in a jpg, gif, or tif graphics format. For question or comments, please contact the DEPWebmaster.

Please note that for all the student materials we receive, we would have the exclusive rights to use or edit them as appropriate for our purposes.
