Global Lab
Tutorials : Using the GL Search Engine
The GL Search Engine searches through all of the Global Lab Pages. Use it to find helpful information and resources, to find other Global Lab classes with interests similar to yours, or just keep up to date on what is happening in the GL community. |
Select GL Search Engine in the GL Workspace. |
Using keywords, you can search all of the Global Lab Web site, including the class Web pages. |
Keywords are the specific words that the search engine will look for in all the GL Web sites. Instructions and Definitions are listed at the bottom of the page in case you forget. |
You can also search according to other criteria. |
Detailed Results will return the first 250 characters for each Web page found. Search Phonetically will search by words similar to what you have entered. For example, if you are unsure of the correct spelling, use Search Phonetically. Begins With Searching will return words beginning with whatever you have entered (e.g. auto will return automobile or automatic). With What's New, only the pages that have been added or changed during the selected time period will be returned. |
You can view the pages your search has found, by following the links in the list. |
You can conduct another keyword search from the top of the page where the sites found are listed. |
