Tutorial : Creating Your Home Page

The Web is a vital part of Global Lab. It can connect you to other Global Lab classrooms around the world!
A great way to participate in that community is by creating your own GL Web site, with information about your class, your school, and your GL study site.
This tutorial will show you how.

Create your Home Page using the
GL Web Page Builder Tools
in the
GL Workspace.

Click Page Builder Link!

Enter Username and Password!

Click Enter Button!

First, create your Home Page.
This is the main page for your class.

Home Page Form Fields In Activity 1 of the GLC, there is a sheet which tells you what information you will be asked for. Filling in the sheet before getting on the Web will save time.

Use this symbol <P> to add paragraph breaks to your description.

Personalize your Web page
with a color scheme from this chart.

Select Your Site Color

Finally, build your Home page
and it will be included with the other GL School Web pages..

What Next
After you have completed your Home page,
go the Class Web Sites link to see it listed with the others.
Then try the tutorial "Adding Pages to your GL Web Site"
to learn how to add additional pages, with text, images, and links, to your Web site.
