Taxonomy: Identifying Plants and Animals
The following links take you to Web sites that may help you identify the plants and animals you find at your study site. Some of the Web sites can be relatively technical.



GL Snapshot: Finding Astronomical Noon
This Web site can calculate astronomical noon (called Sun transit time by the program) when given basic information about the date and location of interest.

Image 1: The Earth from Space
This image shows one view of the Earth from space. The colors are natural; that is, they appear just as they would to the naked eye.

Image 2: The Western Hemisphere
This image shows another view of the Earth form space. This image is of the Western Hemisphere. The color composition is a combination of natural (visible) and infrared light.

Image 3: JSC's Earth from Space
This Johnson Space Center Web site is an easily searched database of NASA images of Earth from Space.
