Taxonomic descriptions: Perrenial herb 40-70 cm in height. Leaves are leathery, light green, dissected, heart-shaped. The flowers are blue in the head floscule. Fruits are cremocarpiums.

Distribution:

Habitats type, Critical habitats, Limiting factors: The coastal zones of the Baltic Sea, Black Sea, Azov Sea etc. Sands, salinic lands. Can be found in separate groups.

Biology: Flowering during VI-IX, fruit-bearing - VII-X. Reproducing by seeds.

Population trends: Not numerous, normal.

Threats: Taking for bouquets, recreation loading.

Conservation measures taken: The species has been entered in the Red Data Book of Bulgaria (1984).

Conservation measures proposed: To organize protected territories in places where it occurs.
