NEW CHAIR OF UCRIHS

Ashir Kumar, M.D. is now the chair of UCRIHS. Vice President Huggett has appointed Dr. Ashir Kumar as the new chair of UCRIHS. Dr. Kumar, a member of the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development in the College of Human Medicine, is a pediatrician specializing infectious diseases. A member of UCRIHS for 14 years, Dr. Kumar provides continuity of leadership as well as medical expertise. Dr. Wright will continue to be connected to UCRIHS as the "Institutional Official" responsible to OHRP/DHHS for human subjects protections. Please note this change by putting Dr. Kumar as the UCRIHS contact for questions regarding research subjects and their rights on your consent forms.
