Michigan State University
Currently, there is a moratorium on admissions to Comparative Literature.  The program is being modified.  In the future, we hope to offer a concentration in comparative literature as an option in masters programs in English, Spanish, or French.

Our master of arts (M.A.) program offers advanced work in literary criticism & theory based on the major national literatures spanning Europe, North America, Africa, and Latin America. Over a two-year period, four program seminars provide methodological foundations for related study in national literatures, cultural critique, literary aesthetics, and hermeneutics. The degree prepares students for doctoral study in the national literatures and further work in comparative literature. Participating faculty includes specialists in Spanish & Latin American, French & Francophone, English & North American, African diaspora, German, Russian, and Italian literatures.
